We've moved!
We just succesfully moved our site to the "new" hosting grounds it will stay on for the forseeable future. We're now hosted by Siteground instead of Rochenhost. Our short test run in 2012 was positive so we went ahead and consolidated both of the host packages in favor of Siteground. It allows us to add multiple sites (although it happens through the Cpanel "Add-on Domains" option I'm not too fond off) so we'll be able…
Cleaning up!
What better time to make changes than when a New year starts? That's why we're doing some long overdue cleaning here at Toralko.net Part one of our "cleaning up" is to get rid of two hosting packages. We decided not to hold onto them, because we'll be consolidating the sites on them with another hosting package. That's $300 saved which we can spend on cool things, instead of hosting we don't use. The following sites…
Re-evaluating Toralko(.net)
During one of my famous one-person meetings I just held with myself, I've made a decision. One which will (hopefully) change the future of this website for the better. You see, somewhere during the past year I lost perspective about Toralko.net. I allowed it to become something it wasn't. Originally, it was a "home" to all my projects and endeavours. Which is still the idea behind this website.
2011 in review
2011 was the year in which Toralko was "rebooted". Unfortunately, that didn't affect the productivity level much. Most of the personal projects I have started ended up sizzling out. However, somewhere in 2011 I got picked up for one hell of a ride. I was asked to help with the JoomlaGov site. Nothing big - I've done mostly administrative work by helping to add sites during the "first wave". I also wrote a post on…
Announcing "FOTA" and "Wordla"
Something I will never completely understand is why there are so few distributions available inside the Joomla! universe. There's maybe two or three I can think off, right now. Of course, if you're going to include all "distros" which bundle Joomla! with a sspecific template, then there's more out there - but those are just Joomla! with a template preinstalled. You know what else comes with templates pre-installed? JOOMLA ITSELF! Drupal is doing way better…
Coming to Toralko.net: videos
Starting in December, we'll be trying something new here at Toralko.net. In addition to the written Joomla manuals we've been publishing until now, we'll also be uploading video's when possible or appropriate. The goal of these video's is to complement our tutorials - not to replace them. We hope this new feature will turn out to be usefull by our readers; and look forward to uploading our first video in the near future!
